How to: Disable email notifications in Outlook

How to: Improve Productivity by disabling Outlook Notifications.

I remember reading a study that detailed how, on average, it takes 20 minutes to get your focus back on what you are working on after being interrupted by email notifications. It definitely distracts you when you see the pop up window telling you about new message – or when you hear that mew message ping. So – why not turn these notifications off, so you don’t get distracted – and remain focused on what you are working on – increasing your productivity.

This is an easy process – click on File – then Options. When the Options window opens, Click on ‘Mail’ – then you will see the Notifications options:

Configure Outlook notifications
