Who is Julie
I am Julie Morgan and here is a little bit about me. I’ve had a varied career, initially starting out in the secretarial field, working in a Recruitment Agency, which happened to be the company I did my college placement at, they were so pleased with my progress they offered me a role.
Later after various roles in this field I decided I wanted to learn more – something technical maybe, so I enrolled on a PC Maintenance and Installation course, this newfound idea was mostly sparked from helping colleagues in the office with their IT issues where I had learnt from the local IT Support Team and made notes to action if needed in future.
Luckily, I was recommended to an IT firm where my IT journey begins and in the world of UNIX Client/Server support, my geeky side was definitely on the rise!! UNIX support has dominated most of my career and I’ve learnt a lot from the different organisations I’ve worked in and the colleagues I’ve had the pleasure to work with. I’ve also worked in application support bringing me close to recent times where I have now moved into Windows Client/Server Support…what can I say I love learning new things, it keeps me interested and challenged.
I really enjoy my work at Synium, my colleagues are great to work with, always willing to help and I get to speak to our lovely customers on a daily basis, it helps with the excellent customer service experience I’ve gained from of my previous roles, giving me ease of building that working relationship with others.
I used to train in kickboxing and karate, I did this for over 4 years, achieving my brown belt. I really enjoyed keeping fit, learning the challenging katas and having my limits pushed in the gradings I took part in.
I also love snowboarding, I’ve not been as much as I’d like to but it’s a sport I never thought I’d like with heights being involved and having your feet strapped to a board, however a friend talked me into it and once I’d manage to not fall over so much I loved it!
What are my hobbies?
A recent passion of mine is learning about nutrition and wellbeing, I stumbled across this a few years ago, when I felt like I needed more energy and vitality in life. I looked into better ways to look after myself with Mindfulness, diet and generally anything that makes me healthy and happy 😊 I enrolled on a course about nutrition and health, it’s been challenging, although the joy of meeting likeminded people and expanding my knowledge has been amazing.
What are my main goals in life?
There are lots things I like to be working towards, things that challenge me, get me out of my comfort zone from time to time, however, my main goals are to keep learning…no matter what it might be, in whatever area of my life. I feel there is always room for improvement and I enjoy working on what makes me happy.
