Who is Stu
My name is Stuart Kingscote and for the last 5 years, I’ve been a senior technical engineer here at Synium IT. Although my IT career started some 20 years ago (I know – I don’t look old enough) I’ve had the pleasure of working with Simon and Andy for most of it.
I actually wanted to be a zoologist as I have a great love of wildlife and the outdoors, unfortunately, that wasn’t to be – so I choose a career in IT and have never looked back….
When I’m not in the office, I love to spend time on my bike and have had many trips around the UK and Europe including Majorca and the Pyrenees. I love music especially festivals and from what I remember had fantastic times at Glastonbury, Wireless and the V Festival many times. This is also where I meet my wonderful partner of 14 years Verity. We have two great (honest) children Abby (8) and Flynn (5) together and it’s amazing to spend time as a family outside in the fresh air on long walks in the countryside or by the sea.
What’s the most daring thing I have ever done
When I was younger I spent many weekends Rock climbing or Caving with my Dad and this one time.. We were on a Sea Cliff in Anglesey and the weather suddenly changed, forcing us to abandon the route and abseil down to a ledge just above the sea… we came very close to having to be rescued by the RNLI. I still tell be people to this day, my Dad nearly killed me.
What is the best thing you have bought for less than £100
This must be an Amazon Echo, having all that music at your fingertips is brilliant except when the kids get hold of it and we have to endure the first line of pretty much every kids’ song that’s ever been made followed by “Alexa Alexa, Play ALEXA !!”
What are your 3 favourite movies?
The Matrix – fantastic visual effects and great story (who knows, it could be real)
Top Gun – Spent many an hour as a child playing Top Gun – Who wouldn’t want to be a fighter Pilot
Kevin and Perry Go Large – Rubbish storyline but just so funny and great Music (I Love Ibiza).
