2019 Charity Bike Ride to Berlin
At the end of June, I will be joining a team of cyclists from one of our favourite customers – Spring Housing – who will be cycling from Hamburg in Germany, to the capital Berlin.
The route will be over 215 miles, and the team have 3 days to complete the challenge. With several of the team fairly new to cycling, the challenge will be considerable for some of them – especially day 2 which is over 80 miles.
Having helped Spring organise their previous cycling adventure (cycling to Amsterdam in July 2017) which was a huge success, the Housing Association’s Chief Executive (Dominic Bradley) has asked Synium to help out once again with the organising.
The plan is to catch a flight to Hamburg on the evening of Tuesday 25th June and then to cycle over the next 3 days to reach Berlin on Friday evening.
Here are the routes for each day:
We will be ably supported (once again) by the amazing (and ever reliable) Gavin Sansom (who also supports the Synium-sponsored WLCC (Warwickshire Lads Cycling Club) with all of their cycling trips).
Spring Housing are embarking on this challenge to increase the awareness of their work – especially their work helping re-house and support the Homeless of the UK. They are a truly wonderful organisation, and we (at Synium) love supporting them with their IT (as well as their cycling challenges).
